I have over 8 years of experience teaching piano and hold a Graduate Diploma in Piano Pedagogy. My passion lies in helping students connect deeply and emotionally with the music they play. I believe that music is more than notes on a page—it’s a way to express feelings and tell stories. I focus on building strong technical skills, especially in pedal technique and dynamic control. My teaching approach focuses on nurturing creativity and spontaneity at the piano. I guide students through improvisation across styles like jazz, blues, and pop. We explore melodic development, comping patterns, and ways to create fresh arrangements on the spot. This method encourages freedom and personal expression in music.
I work closely with students to help them discover their unique musical voice. Regular feedback ensures steady progress and growing confidence. I’m especially skilled at supporting those passionate about jazz and pop styles. Together, we build skills that make improvisation feel natural and fun.
