About Caius
I am a violin tutor with 3+ years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, specialising in Contemporary Repertoire. My classical training provides a strong foundation that I use to help students explore modern expression on the violin. I focus especially on orchestral excerpt preparation and ensemble playing, guiding students to blend seamlessly with others. My lessons emphasise essential skills like bowing technique, vibrato, phrasing, and musical interpretation. Whether working in Classical, Contemporary, or Cinematic styles, I help students develop a rich, expressive sound. I have experience preparing students for ABRSM and Trinity exams, ensuring they build confidence and technical mastery. In addition, I offer orchestral coaching to support students aiming to excel in group performance settings. My teaching balances respect for tradition with encouragement to explore creativity. I invite students to join me on a violin journey that combines solid technique with personal artistic expression. Together, we’ll develop your skills and deepen your love for music within an ensemble.

Together, we focus on mastering vibrato in a way that enhances your unique style. I encourage patience and practice because this skill takes time but is worth every effort. You’ll learn how vibrato can bring life to melodies and connect with your audience on a deeper level. My goal is to support your growth and help you express yourself fully through your violin. With steady guidance, you’ll add emotional richness and sophistication to your playing.
