About Yaro
Currently certified to teach English as a foreign language, with four plus years of high school teaching experience in the United States. I have a baccalaureate degree in US History from San Francisco State University and am also a veteran, with 22 plus years of service in the United States Army.
My main focus is to assist you reach your educational goals with a variety of techniques and a student centered approach.

Using a communicative method with a student centered approach to learning English as a foreign language, I focus on your specific student goals and results from a tailored skills assessment.
Based on the skills assessment, the lessons focus developing vocabulary, speaking fluency and accuracy and grammar.
I have over four years of teaching experience in a traditional classroom environment. This experience showed me the importance of embracing the different ways we learned, whether as a young or as an older learner. Therefore, I focus on doing a comprehensive assessment that can address different learning habits, but that it's flexible enough to adjust to the student accordingly .
