- The pleasure of seeing students prosper and accomplish their goals is really priceless. - I especially find it rewarding when students who find a concept difficult to grasp have that 'light-bulb moment' and suddenly they understand what I am trying to explain. - Above all else, tutoring and learning should be a fun process! The most important elements I feel when providing any form of tuition: - Be patient at all times; not 'label' every student as the same (every student, including myself, learns at their own pace, so I am always guided by their needs) - Be flexible and adaptable - Be readily available to give students my undivided attention - Be able to guide and nurture positively when any student is struggling (NB: mentoring is just as important as tutoring itself) - I am also aware of my limitations. So, if I don't grasp a concept you don't get either, let's workshop the problem together to come to a solution that the student eventually understands. After all, two brains are better than one! - With more adult learning, the meaning of 'teacher' and 'student' can become more blurred as it often implies a huge differential in the knowledge of both parties. I have often been approached by adult learners who would simply like to discuss/brainstorm what may be the best approach to unravelling and tackling the complexities of any question presented to them.

I would highly recommend Paul he is a wonderful teacher with exceptional knowledge and teaching methods. I would not have been able to pass my first semester of BIO without him !
Dr Paul has been an incredible mentor for me during my senior years of high school. He is extremely hard-working and knowledgeable.
He is a very straight-forward person and when requiring help, he has always been available to answer via message or a quick call.
His engaging, understanding and warm persona has aided me to receive a top 2% mark and his guidance has been very encouraging. If a person were to have guidance from Dr Paul, not only their grades, but also their all-round abilities will improve drastically.Paul is an amazing teacher who is so generous with time and very adaptive in the types of objectives you have regarding an assessment task and or activity . Would highly recommend Paul to anyone .

Dr Labana is a wonderful teacher . The interactions with him during my work in the hospital system was always positive. He was instrumental in honing my critical thinking skills. He is a very good listener. He is an astute thinker and a problem solver. I had the privilege to work with him for a couple of years. I always found him to take personal interest and provide his experience and expertise in assisting my educational needs. I wish him all the best and highly recommend him for furthering ones medical education needs.

Mr Alexander HampsonI have known paul ever since i was a student nurse many many years ago, and ever since he has been a mentor in my career. Paul really takes the time to explain things in detail, ensuring I understand what is being taught and I have observed he has a passion for teaching. I would highly recommend Paul in teaching others, as he is very knowledgable in his field of work with lots of medical experience on hand
I have known Dr Paul both professionally and personally since 2012
As the Co Director of Emergency Medicine training, at the hospital where we worked together, he mentored Interns, Residents and Registras as well as Nursing staff working in the department. This involved setting out and preparing lectures, supporting staff with their studies and helping them achieve their goals and to gain top grades in their exams.
Dr Paul has a vault of knowledge and has a passion for education. I have seen him engaged in reading and researching topics to keep abreast of any change to practice, so students are given the most up to date information.
I find that Dr Paul has a great skill in breaking down topics to enable the student to comprehend and if they are still having difficulty he will find another way of explaining the topic until the student gets that ‘light bulb’ moment and they understand and get it!
Dr Paul is very approachable and engaging. He will tailor the lessons to the individual students needs to help them succeed in whatever course they have undertaken. He never wants to see students struggling or unable to succeed.
I would highly recommend Dr Paul as a personal Tutor...Chris Min OAM
