About Mechthild
I am a second year law student at the University of Nottingham. I like painting, drawing and cooking. I occasionally go out with my friends to the movies or walks around the city. As a university student, I have learnt to be punctual and organised and I aim to implement these in my classes. My objective is to be able to teach a student at least one new thing after every lesson and to create a yearning to learn more. My lessons will be interactive and suggestions for room for improvement on my part are highly encouraged. I am a native fluent speaker in Swahili and this makes me the perfect tutor. I have studied Swahili up to GCSE level and as a student myself I know how to relate with students.

Teaching techniques:- - I teach using slides with images and words to make it easier for beginner students to understand the lessons. - I use quizzes as an active recall for the students to make the lessons more exciting. - Classes will include reading activities for all levels to make the lessons more exciting Typical length of lesson:- - An effective lesson will run for 40 minutes to 1 hour to ensure students remain focused - Beginner classes will run slightly longer for the first 3 lessons being for 50 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. This will serve as an introduction to the subject with quizzes taking up most of the classes Experience and qualifications:- - Native speaker of Swahili and is very fluent having been born and raised in East Africa which majorly speaks Swahili - Received Grade 9 in GCSE Swahili. Grade 9 being the highest grade achievable Criteria for lessons:- - All levels of understanding of Swahili are accepted. There is no minimum - Minimum age requirement is 13 years old - There is no maximum age requirement to attend my classes
