About Kate

I’m a violin tutor with over 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, specializing in Contemporary Repertoire. My classical training gives me a strong foundation, and I love helping students explore modern expression through the violin. Whether you’re preparing orchestral excerpts or working on ensemble playing, I focus on building solid bowing technique, vibrato, phrasing, and interpretation. My teaching covers a wide range of styles, including Classical, Contemporary, and Cinematic music. I have experience preparing students for ABRSM and Trinity exams, as well as coaching for orchestral auditions and performances. I believe that mastering technical skills goes hand in hand with developing musical creativity. Lessons are tailored to your goals and help you combine tradition with fresh ideas. I encourage students to express themselves fully while respecting the rich history of the violin. About the lesson
