About Orla
I am a qualified experienced teacher of English as a second language, and am based in Ireland.
I am also a visual artist and often using drawing as a teaching tool, and encourage younger students to draw if they wish - I find it helps them relax and learn more easily, and helps them feel less self-conscious.
I have also been in your shoes. During my own time as a student, I learned Irish, French, German and Dutch. I have been in situations where I was searching for words and trying to make myself understood.

Afraid of making mistakes in English? Is it 'I have been' or 'I was'? Not sure of word order? Or do you just want to start with the basics, learn some new words, improve your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills in English?
Your mistakes tell me where you need help, and we start there and gradually build up your English language skills so you can communicate with confidence.
Drawing with English is also possible: great fun for younger learners, with an added benefit of helping them learn writing and spelling.
From age 6 (with adult supervision at the student's end) and up.
Minimum lesson length 30 minutes, maximum 60.
I am a qualified TEFL/TESOL teacher with almost 10 years of experience in the field. I've worked one-to-one, with small groups and very large groups of students in a classroom setting.
