About Liam

I am a dedicated piano teacher with over nine years of experience helping students achieve their musical goals. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Piano, and I specialize in preparing students for music exams, college auditions, and even professional gigs. My lessons are always tailored to the unique needs and ambitions of each student. I believe in creating a learning space where motivation and discipline go hand in hand. Some students come with dreams of performing on stage, while others simply want to pass their exams with confidence. I guide them step by step, ensuring they feel supported at every stage of their journey. Technique, expression, and interpretation are at the heart of my teaching. I make sure students not only play the notes correctly but also bring out the emotion and artistry behind the music. For those aiming at auditions or gigs, I provide practical strategies to manage stage presence and performance anxiety. I enjoy seeing students grow in confidence as their skills progress. My goal is always to nurture their passion for piano so that practice feels purposeful and inspiring. In every lesson, I encourage curiosity, persistence, and joy in making music.

About the lesson

My piano teaching approach is built around step-by-step fluency in both playing and understanding music. I begin by introducing students to the basics of reading sheet music and gradually move toward expressive playing. Rhythm drills and finger exercises are part of every lesson because they give students the technical strength and control they need. Alongside technique, I encourage interpretation of songs so students can connect emotionally with the music.

Each lesson is adapted to the student’s own pace and personal goals. Some students progress very quickly, while others need more time, and I support both with patience and care. For advanced learners, I focus on refining their performance so they can express themselves with clarity and confidence. For younger or highly talented students, I provide structured guidance that helps them grow naturally without pressure.

I believe that music should never feel like a burden. My goal is to create an environment where progress feels exciting and fulfilling. Over time, students not only learn to play the piano but also develop a lasting passion for it.
