About Mila
I hold an Associate of Music in Piano Skills and have been teaching for over 4 years. My passion is guiding students who want to use their piano skills in meaningful, real-world settings. Many of my students prepare to lead worship in their churches. Others train to accompany community theater or perform with wedding bands. I enjoy tailoring lessons to meet each of these unique goals. My teaching approach is personalized and motivating, never one-size-fits-all. I help students develop not only technique but also the confidence to perform in front of others. Lessons focus on rhythm, chord progressions, and expressive playing. We also work on improvisation and adapting to different musical settings. For worship leaders, I emphasize sensitivity and musical flow. For theater pianists, I highlight timing, support, and collaboration. For wedding band players, I stress versatility and professionalism. Every student receives encouragement and guidance to reach their goals. My goal is to help you grow as a pianist while enjoying the journey.

My piano teaching method is built around systematic growth in reading music. I believe sight-reading is the foundation of confident playing. Lessons include exercises in speed reading, rhythm drills, and interval recognition on the staff. I help students connect visual notes directly to finger movement. This builds quick response and accurate playing. We also work on rhythmic accuracy to strengthen timing. Children learn through games and structured drills. Adults practice with real music examples that fit their goals. Both approaches keep learning motivating and practical. I’m very good with The Child Prodigy and The Hobbyist Adult. Each receives custom practice tools to make progress. With consistent work, students confidently play new pieces at sight. My goal is simple: to make reading music feel natural and enjoyable.
