About Paul
I am currently a student at Portland State University and have participated in research before. I have developed a good method of explaining concepts due to my consistent practice with study groups. I do not have previous experience tutoring but I love biology and enjoy explaining how different systems of life work.

My teaching method involves boiling whatever concept we are talking about to it's main points and then slowly building up the specifics of the process once a strong base of knowledge is created on the subject. My techniques include: repetition, mnemonic devices, and flashcards. These are variable to change based on the person I am tutoring and what suits them best. My characteristics as a tutor involve creating a fun environment in which to learn the material and an easygoing attitude. Information is more likely to stick if you make the learning enjoyable.
