About Karina
My background in Early Childhood Education and Special Care Counselling have both given me the privilege of working with countless wonderful children over the last decade! I studied in Montreal and have worked in both English and French settings.
Language and communication have always been what I naturally gravitate towards with children whether it be through reading books, teaching proper pronunciation or simply engaging in simple conversation with them.

I approach teaching from a person-focused place. Whether you are seeking to learn French for fun, for work, or for other, I want to help you reach your goal in a way that feels personalized, comfortable and achievable for you!
My style is to adapt to your style and pace to make sure you get the best out of your experience. I believe in interactive learning as opposed to lecture-based teaching so that the material can be easily transferred to real life conversations.
This is an Example of Lesson 1:
- Basic French Greetings: you will learn how to greet people in French depending on the time of day, how to introduce yourself by name, and much more.
- Common Conversation Phrases: you will learn how to say common phrases such as please, thank you and have a nice day!
- Personal Pronouns & Verbs: you will learn how to conjugate common verbs for everyday conversation.
Lessons can be given at your home, at the library, at a quiet coffee shop or even on a walk! I believe a big part of learning something new is being in an environment that feels comfortable for the student.
