About Evan
I am a Biology tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MPhil in Biology. My teaching is shaped by a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to biological communication and scientific writing. I believe that understanding biology goes beyond mastering content—it also involves learning how to share knowledge with clarity and impact. My teaching approach in Biology is structured, supportive, and exam-focused. I believe every student can succeed with the right strategies and consistent practice. For learners preparing for AP Biology, I design lessons that balance both content mastery and exam readiness. Complex concepts are broken into simple steps so that students gain confidence before moving on to more advanced material.
I place strong emphasis on experimental design and data interpretation, as these skills are central to success in higher-level biology. Together, we practice analyzing graphs, tables, and experimental setups, turning what feels overwhelming into manageable tasks. Free-response question strategies are another major part of my sessions. I guide students on how to organize their thoughts, structure answers, and earn maximum points under time pressure.
