About Amy

I have a first-class honours degree in Human Geography from Durham University. I then studied Architecture and Urban Studies at the Centre for Urban Conflicts Research at the University of Cambridge, where I am now a PhD researcher. I am particularly interested in urban conflict, Europe as a political and philosophical entity, counterterrorism and the built environment.

About the lesson

I approach topics by identifying key concepts and expanding themes and discussions based on this. Visuals (maps, videos, photographs) are essential to develop understanding when we are working remotely. Each session is clearly structured, and wider reading (which I will advise) is strongly encouraged.

Deadly! Amy is an excellent teacher and an excelent professional. She is preparing our daughter for sitting an early GCSE'S exam. Our daugher is moving fast with Amy, she adjusted to Nika's pace instantly as our daugher takes things in quickly and hates being board, Amy recogonised that and they are moving quickly. Amy is an excellent and teacher who listens to her students and give them credits for their achivments and hard work with a very effective, structured and teaching method, strongly & warmly recomended by us.
