About Kian

I am a guitar tutor with 9 years of experience, dedicated to teaching visually impaired and differently-abled students. I hold a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on guitar, which has given me a strong foundation in both music and teaching. My passion lies in making music education accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. I use tactile notation and audio cue training to help students connect with music in ways that suit their needs. These tools allow learners to understand music deeply through touch and sound, rather than relying solely on sight. I also focus on strong rhythmic development, helping students build confidence and timing, which are essential for any guitarist. Every student I work with is unique, and I tailor my lessons to fit their abilities and goals. I believe music is a powerful way to express oneself, and everyone deserves the chance to learn and grow. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and encouraging. I create a welcoming environment where all learners feel empowered to explore their musical potential. Whether you are new to guitar or looking to improve your skills, I am here to help you succeed. About the lesson

My guitar teaching approach focuses on mindfulness, technique awareness, and emotional presence to help students connect deeply with their playing. I guide learners to pay attention to breathing during practice, which supports relaxation and focus. We work on anchoring hand positions to create ease and prevent tension, making playing more comfortable.

Dynamic control is another key area we explore how to shape sound with volume and touch, bringing life and expression to every note. I encourage students to connect with phrasing, helping music flow naturally and meaningfully.
