About Autumn
I have over 4 years of experience teaching French, backed by a Bachelor of Applied Languages (French) in education. My passion is working with children aged 5 to 12, and I use interactive storytelling, songs, and movement to make learning fun and engaging. I believe that young learners absorb language best when they are active and joyful. In my lessons, I focus on building foundational vocabulary, clear pronunciation, and simple grammar. I create a playful environment where children feel comfortable exploring the language without pressure. My goal is to make French learning not only effective but also memorable and exciting. I’ve seen how stories and music help children connect with the language naturally. By combining these tools with movement, I help kids stay focused and motivated. I’m dedicated to nurturing curiosity and confidence in every student. Watching children grow their skills and develop a love for French is what drives me as a tutor. I look forward to helping more young learners discover the joy of speaking French. Together, we will build a strong foundation for their future language journey.

My teaching approach for French focuses on helping students build a deep understanding of the language through varied and engaging materials. I include classic literature to expose students to rich vocabulary and cultural history. Debate skills are part of my lessons to improve speaking confidence and critical thinking. Reading news articles helps students stay connected to current events while practicing comprehension.
Creative writing is also a key part of my method, encouraging students to express themselves clearly and imaginatively. I believe that mastering a language goes beyond grammar and vocabulary—it requires practice in real-life communication and cultural awareness. I tailor lessons to fit each student’s needs, whether they are learning for professional reasons or personal enjoyment.
