About Diane

I’m a Joint Honors student in Economics and Finance at McGill University, with a strong academic background in both mathematics and languages. Having grown up in France and studied in the French education system, I graduated with a French Baccalauréat (Mention Très Bien). My passion for teaching started in high school, where I tutored fellow students in math, helping them grasp complex concepts with ease. Since then, I’ve continued to refine my approach, making lessons interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs.

About the lesson

I believe that learning should be both personal and engaging, which is why I tailor each lesson to the unique needs of my students. Whether in French or math, my goal is to make the subject not just something you study in class, but a skill you integrate into your daily life. Teaching Methodology & Techniques French: My lessons are highly interactive, focusing on conversation and immersion. Speaking as much as possible is key to mastering the language, so I create a dynamic environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. Beyond class time, I help build daily habits to make French a natural part of everyday life. Math: I use a personal technique designed to make math feel more intuitive and even fun! By breaking down complex concepts into simple, relatable ideas, I help students see math in a new light, making problem-solving more natural and less intimidating. A Typical Lesson Plan Each session is structured but flexible to fit the student’s needs: Review & Discussion – Understanding challenges and reinforcing past material. Interactive Learning – Applying concepts through exercises, games, or real-world scenarios. Personalized Practice Plan – Strategies and tools to incorporate learning into everyday life. What Sets Me Apart I go beyond just teaching—I create a learning process that extends beyond the classroom. My lessons are: Highly personalized to match each student’s strengths and goals. Engaging and interactive, especially in language learning where communication is key. Designed for real-life application, helping students practice naturally every day.
