About Hazel

Hi, I’m a passionate guitar tutor with over 12 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on guitar. I believe music is one of the most powerful ways to express emotion, and I love helping students connect with their instrument on a deeper level. My lessons are designed to build strong technical skills while encouraging creative exploration. From basic chords to advanced fretboard fluency, I guide students step-by-step through structured, clear instruction. About the lesson

My guitar teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation while nurturing each student’s unique musical voice. I start with the basics of chords, strumming, and finger placement, ensuring comfort and proper technique. Rhythm is at the heart of every lesson. We work on groove development and tempo control using clapping exercises, metronome drills, and strumming patterns that match real-world songs.
