About Shreya
Learning Carnatic music and slokas can give peace of mind as well as improve memory. My teaching style will include explanations of slokas and a deep understanding of the basics of Carnatic music.
Students must be excited about each class and get inspired to perform better. I am willing to help students discover their potential. I provide recordings and also clarify any doubts outside class hours. I teach according to the pace of the student's understanding.

I am a passionate and patient tutor who focuses on developing the student's interest in music and sloka recitation. I also teach bhajans and tell mythological, moral stories for kids to make classes more interesting.
I work well with kids above age 4 and adults. I have a curated syllabus for each level - beginner, intermediate and advanced.
For Slokas -
Beginner - basic 2 line, 4 line slokas for everyday recitation and cover more than 1 sloka on each god.
Intermediate - Pancharatnams, Ashtakams, Chalisa
Advanced - Long sloka, stotrams, sahasranamams
For Carnatic Music - I follow the standard syllabus starting from Ganamrutha Bodhini and then move to varnams and keertanams. I focus on a strong foundation by helping the student develop a sense of Talam, Ragas, Bhava, Aakarams, Gamakas, and Shruthi.
