About Nicky
I discovered my passion for photography some 13 years ago and by combining it with my background of being a professional make-up artist I found the perfect combination of two professions that compliment each other. This lead to my researching, writing, developing, implementing and teaching my own make-up modules to aspiring make-up artists and starting a class-based and online school teaching Photographic and Fashion makeup artistry. Understanding the importance of the correct makeup and techniques for the best result during photo-shoots, lead me to development and implement a teaching document on the basics about photography and lighting. During this period I was privileged to shoot in excess of 300 weddings as well as countless portrait, family, pregnancy, new-born baby, boudoir, event and engagement photo-shoots.

I love to research and explore all photography teachings and adapting that to my understanding. An initial theoretic understanding of the basics of photography and equipment, followed by a hands-on teaching approach as I believe that students will learn more when actively exploring, testing and trying the teachings for themselves. I also believe that photography goes hand-in-hand with digital editing and design work and love teaching in these areas as well.

Travel rate will incur when travelling is in excess of 10km round trip at a cost of $0.35 p/km.
A 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all sessions. For cancellations made less than 24 hours, clients will incur the full cost of the session.
