About Peter

Best to see my website. By performance, I was a cellist (now retired) and conductor. Piano was my first instrument, violin my first love but second instrument; cello was my third instrument. Currently working up a Bach recording.

My lesson rates for children are currently discounted 50% off, to US $40 for children who practice consistently in our Age of Corona. If a child doesn't practice consistently, I will still teach, but the rate will be the adult discounted rate. Adult lessons are discounted 25% off, to $60.

I have experience coaching orchestration/composition. My intuition in regard to musical expression and teaching is an expression of my soul. Please see my website (concealed information) for other perspectives.

About the lesson

I place great emphasis on slow practicing, listening to other performances, and learning good form as a facilitator of technique that allows the most subtle and dramatic music expression. My greatest fulfillment in teaching is discovering with my students new musical nuance or interpretation.

I request that students who must cancel do so with at least 24 hours notice, as I schedule my time around teaching just as students schedule their time around lessons. Of course if something extremely important comes up for me, I will notify my students.
