Hi! I'm Ayan, I'm an A-levels student, hoping to go to the University of Southampton next year (grades willing). I'm an experienced and passionate Biology tutor offering engaging, results-driven lessons for GCSE and A-Level students across all major UK exam boards. My teaching style focuses on building true understanding rather than rote memorisation. I simplify complex ideas using diagrams, analogies, and interactive explanations that make learning feel intuitive and manageable. I incorporate active recall techniques and exam-style practice questions to reinforce knowledge and boost long-term retention. Because of my tutoring background, my sessions are always patient and tailored to build confidence step by step.
A typical lesson starts with a quick recap of previous material, usually through mini questions or prompts. We then dive into the main topic of the session, with clear, structured explanations and space for you to reflect, ask questions, and check your understanding. We’ll practise with past paper questions to apply what you’ve learned and finish with a short summary to reinforce the key points. I also provide bonus flashcards or tasks to keep the momentum going between lessons.
I’ve recently completed my A-Levels, so I fully understand the pressure students face and the strategies that actually work. As a future medical student, I can also share proven study techniques that help maximise your grades. My students consistently show strong progress and leave sessions feeling more confident in both their knowledge and exam technique.
