About Kate
I am a biologist by training, specializing in microbiology and environmental science. I received my bachelors in biology from the University of Southern Mississippi. My masters degree is in environmental science from Samford University. I have experience mostly in biomedical and environmental microbiology research.

I really press students to try to think critically and problem solve on their own as much as possible, with my guidance. Most students just need proper guidance and structure to help their study habits become more efficient. I use several different study habit methods to help students remember and recall information properly. With a background in biology and microbiology, I enjoy teaching these topics, in addition to environmental science and sustainability.
