About Christian
I am a 3rd year medical student, and I am currently doing my rotations and preparing for exams in different hospitals throughout Los Angeles. I am looking to make extra cash while preparing for exams to help tutor students as I have been doing for years prior. I have a lax approach to tutoring, and more than anything, want to make students feel comfortable during my sessions. I love to learn, and I hope to be given the opportunity to inspire others to want to too!

I believe the best way to do well in any Biology class, is to thoroughly understand the concept behind anything you're learning. This not only makes remembering easier but it also takes away the stress of having to memorize material!
I have been tutoring students of all ages, usually students in middle school, and high school, throughout my college career. First, I'd either need access, or I'll ask the student to send me the material/homework currently being reviewed in class. From there, I'd usually break up a lesson into two parts:
1. The first would be to review the concepts, and really hone in on important details.
2. Practice problems/ Kahoots/quizzes.
Depending on the student, and what's being reviewed, I'd also sometimes set them up with a quizlet or take home quiz to review after hours.
Aside from Biology, I also tutor students in Spanish. I am originally from Cuba, and my first language is Spanish. It is, aside from Biology, my favorite thing to teach. I will tutor anybody from any age group with a lesson plan similar to the one outlined above for Biology tutoring.
