About Lucile
Back home in France, I tutored high school students and adults. I did French literature and English with my teenage students following their school curriculum and focusing on their areas of difficulty. With my adult students, I would tailor English lessons to their personal goal which was often to improve their spoken English and comprehension. Whatever the student’s needs, I always adapt my approach and the materials used to each person’s sensibilities and interests. I aim to make language learning a fun and rewarding experience!

Maybe you wish to improve your French for school or university? Maybe you want to chat with locals during your next stay in France? Or maybe you dream of watching Asterix and Obelix movies in the original version? Whatever your ambitions may be, our lessons will be catered to them. I am not only a language tutor, I am also a language learner. I have been learning English for 10 years, did 5 years of Spanish and I’m currently trying to learn some Czech! I know foreign languages can be difficult and intimidating, and this is why I believe in making my classes both rewarding and fun. I want my students to feel comfortable in my classes and free to make mistakes because that is how we grow in our language practice.
If you decide to learn French with me, we will first establish together what your goals, your needs, and your expectations are for our lessons. During my lessons, I like to use different types of media to enhance our conversations, such as online articles and videos. Between each lesson, I give my students some notions or words to get familiar with for next time, and we will always brush up on your difficulties in the following class.
