About Nicole
I believe that science is affecting all the aspects of the world we live in and is fundamental to understanding how living organisms function. Hence, I would love to share my passion for it with my students and help their understanding of basic concepts.
I have extensive experience with teaching, tutoring and mentoring, coming from my current employment as a high school teacher in the Czech Republic and my previous experience as a KS4 Academic Coach of Science and KS5 Biology Mentor at The UCL Academy. I have also volunteered at Discover Summer Academy where I have taught Biochemistry and Immunology courses over 4 years and worked as a Science mentor for Richer Education for 2 years, delivering online science classes to younger students.
I have completed my European Baccalaureate (A-levels equivalent) in Brussels in 2017, with large focus on biology and chemistry, giving me excellent knowledge of both subjects at high school level. I have then obtained my undergraduate degree at UCL in Molecular Biology in 2020 and my masters degree at Imperial College in Translational Neuroscience in 2021, providing me with extensive research experience which allows me to use real-world applications and examples in my lessons.

Hello!
Are you allergic to science?
Is biology driving you crazy?
NO PROBLEM! I have enough enthusiasm and passion for both of us. :) And I'm happy to share.
I'm a qualified teacher with 4 years of teaching experience and UCL and Imperial College graduate. I am wiling to help with GCSE or A-level biology, focused on content understanding, homework and preparation for exams. My lessons use plenty of real-world and creative examples or exercises and I'm not afraid to use candies, pencils or whatever is nearby to help you understand the more complex biological concepts.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
She has great general knowledge on culture so she is able to answer nearly all questions in her field and if she can't answer she will do research so you can understand every aspect of the subject even if is slightly not the subject. In addition, she is very patient, therefore she never gets angry when teaching. Nicole has mastered 3 languages, going though 3 very different educational systems which have given her an open mind and innovative way of teaching. Finally helping and teaching others is in her nature and as long as I can remember her, she was always transmitting her knowledge to others. I'm probably not the only one who can say they succeeded this year, thanks to Nicole
She is very friendly and communicative person. She is intelligent and she has a wide variety of interests and you can have a great conversation with her about many topics. She is very patient and if you show an interest to learn something she can get very passionate about teaching you new things. I'd definitely recommend her as a good young teacher not only because I know her in person but also because of many experience when she helped me with my French essays and taught me grammar I misunderstood at the classes. If she could help me with my French through the internet and videocalls I am sure she can teach you even better in person!
Nicole is intelligent but also patient. When I was struggling with my homework, she was here for me. I like her style of tutoring. Nicole is always trying to teach you in a way that you come up with the correct answer. She knows how to explain easily hard things.
Nicole stays calm and does not shout.
When I needed help with my French oral skills, we were talking together about topics that we are interested in. This helped me to actually enjoy our lessons.
