About Cara
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music with specialisation in voice and bring seven years of teaching experience across different levels. My teaching style blends professional discipline with friendly encouragement, ensuring that each learner feels supported while developing both technical skills and expressive artistry. Beyond tutoring, I stay actively engaged in vocal performance, workshops, and continuous learning to refine my knowledge. This commitment allows me to bring fresh insights, modern approaches, and relevant performance strategies into lessons, helping students connect their practice with real-world musical experiences. What I value most as a teacher is seeing students discover their unique voice and grow in confidence. Every learner has different needs, and I adapt lessons to match their strengths and challenges. My lessons begin by developing essential vocal foundations, focusing on breathing techniques, posture, and warm-up routines. These basics strengthen vocal health and allow students to extend their range safely while gaining consistency and control over pitch, tone, and projection in their singing practice. I emphasise practical application by introducing songs that match the student’s preferred style, whether classical, pop, or musical theatre. Through guided practice and personalised song choices, learners explore dynamics, articulation, and performance techniques that build both expressive confidence and technical fluency in their voice. Each session is tailored to individual goals, from preparing for auditions and stage performances to simply building singing confidence for personal enjoyment. With steady feedback, clear guidance, and encouragement, my lessons aim to create an enjoyable yet structured path towards steady improvement and artistic growth.
