Matt has tutored me for over five years and he has been instrumental in my success with Spanish. I came to him having learned up to A level with a mish mash of knowledge and he has patiently helped to streamline all the gaps. As a nervous learner, he has given me so much confidence, both through his teaching style and just by being a lovely friendly human.

It's quite clear that Matt is at the top of his field as a tutor. He is able to not only raise his students' reading, writing, and listening levels, but also their confidence. Matt taught Spanish to my home educated son from 2018 to 2022, steering him through both IGCSE and A Level in which my son achieved grades 9 and A respectively. These were not top up lessons; Matt taught the whole syllabus. This achievement was all the more remarkable as my son has SEN which presented him with barriers to learning and Matt with challenges which he rose to with ingenuity, patience, calmness and good humour. Matt recognises the importance of building early confidence with the spoken language and in my son's case used this to stimulate interest and encourage solid grammar learning. He is an exceptionally bright, gifted tutor who would be able to stretch high flyers just as effectively as he can bring on students who may be struggling. Matt was a pleasure to work with. Matt has taught my home schooled school son since April 2019. He took him through the IGCSE Spanish curriculum in record time and propelled him from a very basic KS3 level to a degree of competence and confidence with the language which earned him an externally assessed grade 9 this year. Matt adapts well to the challenges of different learning styles. Matt is an experienced tutor who know what he is doing. He knows the grading and percentage by heart so knows what and how you need to improve. My daughter benefited enormously from Matt’s tuition and the lessons were useful. Very punctual, super efficient, explains things in a very detailed and understandable manner, light hearted and fun lessons and resourceful in every way.

Always punctual and sometimes even early. Takes a lot of interest in his students and makes sure they are always understanding everything he is explaining. If his student has difficulties when apart, Matt is always available and will offer his help over the phone if need be. Matt is a very friendly guy which is also very appaealing in a tutors profile and in my opinion is also very trustworthy.

Matt lim was an amazing tutor for various different reasons. Firstly, he was always on time which I feel is an essential thing to be a good teacher. He would also make his lessons entertaining so it wouldn't feel like the hour or two would drag on. I also feel like Matt is an amazing tutor because unlike some if I hadn't understood something, he would carry on explaining it to me, finding different ways to make sure I got there in the end even if he had to say it 20 different times.

Matt provides a large variety of tasks and exercises in all areas of the language that not only improve you spanish but also maintain your interest. Matt was sought to give extra tuition for GCSE Spanish for my daughter and her friend.Matt's teaching they said was interactive and more readily understandable.They enjoyed the one on one teaching which greatly improved their listening skills,grammar and vocabulary in Spanish.

Just a few weeks in with Matt tutoring my daughter it was obvious that she was gaining fluency in her oral/listening and therefore conversational skills. Additionally, later on, Matt was good at zoning in on areas of perceived weakness in grammar/written ability to give her a well-rounded, overall improvement. That's the important stuff but the bonus with Matt is his genial and entertaining approach making the lessons relaxed and enjoyable.
