About Luz Elena

It is a pleasure for me to offer you the best of my competence and experience in the field of teaching languages. I have over twenty years of experience teaching Foreign Languages specifically English and Spanish as foreign languages. I am experienced in teaching a wide diversity of age groups and abilities. My major strengths are getting right to transmit my knowledge to the students, organization to elaborate the lesson plans, and achieving the best class activities. I usually apply pedagogical techniques and dynamic activities according to the student's skills. I also, respect and value the effort my students make to learn and achieve good grades. I can say that I have always been enthusiastic about teaching, so it encourages me to study modern languages at a Pedagogical University.

Tutoring Approach:
I determine the tutoring by an assessment of the student's needs and establishing realistic targets for achievement. Working with small groups can be both a valuable way to create a focused and stimulating educational environment.

About the lesson

My strong initiative and organizational skills, allow me to play a crucial role in a fast-paced teaching environment. Furthermore, with the ability to simplify lesson plans in line with specific curriculum objectives, I believe I will immediately make a noticeable impact on your education standards. The following are highlights of my skills and accomplishments:
• I differentiate instruction by designing my lesson based on students’ learning styles.
• I assess students’ learning using formative assessment and I also use projects, essays, and exams.
• I always manage the classroom to create a safe and supportive environment.
• I use data to drive instruction using exit sips, brief quizzes, and thumbs up/thumbs down.
• I also use observation that lets me adjust pacing for the whole class or scaffold for those students who are still struggling.
• I respect and value my students' efforts to learn and achieve good grades.
