About Stella
I am a guitar tutor with over 3 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Composition (Guitar Emphasis). Outside of lessons, I compose and perform regularly, which enriches my teaching. My focus is on acoustic fingerstyle and classical guitar. I work with both beginners and advanced players. Beginners are given a strong foundation through simple exercises and encouragement. Advanced students focus on interpretation, arrangement, and expressive technique. I believe guitar is more than an instrument—it is a lifelong tool for creativity. Lessons emphasise self-expression as much as technical growth. Students are guided towards both confidence and artistry. I adapt each session to the student’s personal goals and learning style. Music, for me, is a balance of structure and freedom. My aim is to help every learner build skill, joy, and artistry on the guitar. Together, we’ll explore the guitar as a path to creative expression.

I teach guitar with a focus on applying music theory to real playing. Students explore scales, modes, chords, and harmonic analysis directly on the fretboard. Lessons show how theory supports improvisation, composition, and performance. The Aspiring Rock Star develops riffs, solos, and creative phrases. The Classical Purist gains insight into harmonic and structural detail. Exercises connect knowledge to musical expression and technique. Each session is tailored to the student’s level and goals. My approach balances understanding, practice, and exploration. Students gain confidence and fluency in using theory creatively. Lessons encourage discovery, experimentation, and personal style. I emphasise making knowledge practical and inspiring. Together, we build both skill and expressive artistry on the guitar.
