About Gabrielle
I am a 29 years old piano teacher and I started to play the piano when I was 9 years old in France. I continued playing the piano when I moved to England and passed grades after grades to reach the final grade which is grade 8 with ABRSM. I have completed the latter with a Merit. I have also passed the final grade of Practical Jazz and passed with a Merit also.
I have recently passed and completed my DipABRSM Teaching Diploma in piano teaching.

I have been teaching for the last 8 years and most of my students that have started with me, who had no musical experience at the beginning, are now working towards grading work. Some have performed their playing in front of an audience; at schools, the church, family gatherings... Which makes me real proud to hear that they are sharing their skills with the world.
In the past, I have also worked for Summit School of Music in Hazlemere for two years while still running my own private studio on the side.
Couple of years ago, during the pandemic, I followed a teaching course run by Irina Gorin - a prestige teacher in America. She has taught me valuable skills in teaching piano effectively, which I use in my lessons with my students now. I teach my students how to use their wrists effectively, how to relax, the art of piano playing and new ways to teach a certain skill and so on.
This year, I recently started a Jolly Music Training Course run by the Phoenix Collective - a Kodaly school of music - which has helped me be a better teacher. I always look for ways to expand myself as a teacher but also as a musician so that I can share these skills that I learn with my students.
I find that all of my students are different and have their own unique ways to learn. Some will understand one method, others another method. So we try out different things until they fully understand what they need to do. I like to think as myself as a coach, helping my students and giving them advice. I always do a final double check at the end of each lesson to ensure that they are not confused of what they need to do when practicing alone. Finally, I make sure that they enjoy what they are playing and what we do in the lessons. Some will want to do exams, others will just play for personal enjoyment, so I encourage and support my students to follow their own musical path they want to take.
I also host two concerts per year for students to participate and perform their pieces. This is a great way to listen to others play, feel motivated and students to play in front of others. It's a great boost in confidence!
I recently opened up an Instagram page where I post weekly students playing pieces once they are completed! Another way for them to shine.

I've known Gabrielle through mutual friends and we have gotten to know each other overtime. Prior
to meeting Gabrielle, I did not have an active interest in music or playing my Guitar when I used to
practise when I was younger. However, Gabrielle has inspired me to start listening to a variety of
music and has encouraged me to resume my Guitar lessons. She is extremely friendly, easy to talk
to, encouraging and elegant in her Piano pieces. She demonstrates knowledge and can relate to an
individual's challenges with music owing to her own experiences. Gabrielle started Piano in her
younger years while studying and relocating. She has immersed herself into the musical world; this is
what drives her to introduce music to all who are curious about learning to read music and play the
Piano. I would highly recommend Gabrielle for anyone seeking a tutor who is friendly, patient,

Professional and reliable, she knows her stuff. Couldn’t think of anyone else to teach me piano after a few lessons with her.
Totally recommend her.
