About Kian

I’m a guitar teacher with over 8 years of experience helping students shine in band auditions, group rehearsals, and live performances. I hold an Associate of Arts in Guitar Fundamentals and specialize in preparing guitarists for the demands of real-world musical settings. Whether you’re auditioning for a school band or gigging with friends, I’m here to help you play with confidence and style. My lessons focus on stage presence, rhythmic accuracy, and musical awareness within a group. I teach how to listen, blend, and lead when needed—skills every ensemble player needs. From locking in with the drummer to complementing a vocalist, I guide students through every part of the performance puzzle. I work closely with learners to develop solid timing, expressive technique, and creative collaboration. My approach is supportive but focused, always pushing students toward their best. I believe that great performances come from preparation, awareness, and trust in your sound. We practice real-life situations, jam together, and refine your skills for both rehearsals and shows. About the lesson

My guitar teaching approach is rooted in making music theory clear, simple, and useful. I focus on helping students apply theory directly to the fretboard so they can truly hear and feel the concepts. We explore how scales and modes shape melody, how chords are built from intervals, and how harmonic analysis reveals the logic behind progressions.

Lessons are hands-on and engaging, never just abstract theory. I break down complex ideas into small, practical steps that connect with each student’s style and goals. Whether you're writing solos, composing songs, or analyzing classical pieces, theory becomes a helpful tool, not a mystery.

I'm especially strong in working with The Aspiring Rock Star and The Classical Purist. I guide them in blending creative energy with musical understanding so they can grow as expressive, informed players. Each lesson is tailored to the learner’s level and preferred genre.

We work on ear training, fretboard visualization, and improvisation rooted in solid knowledge. My goal is to build confidence through clarity and consistent practice. I support every student in developing a strong foundation for both technical growth and creative freedom. Let's turn theory into music, one note at a time.
