About Sheena
Hello! I'm Sheena Tarrant, a dedicated educator with a First-class Honours in Chemistry and Biology with Concurrent Teaching Education from the University of Limerick. Over the years, I've had the privilege of imparting knowledge in reputable institutions like St Louis High School in Dublin, where I specialized in Leaving Cert Cycle subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, and Maths. My teaching journey also took me to Waterford College of Further Education, where I lectured Anatomy and Physiology to Nursing students.
My unique strength lies in my diverse teaching experiences. From lecturing Anatomy to secondary school teaching, and even beyond the traditional classroom - like Violin instruction and swimming coaching - I've honed a pedagogy that resonates with learners across different spectrums. This versatility makes me an adept educator in Biology, Chemistry, Science, and Maths across various levels of the Irish education system.
But what sets me apart? It's my innovative approach. I integrate Inquiry-based laboratory techniques, metacognitive questioning, and advanced laboratory practicals and simulations. These methods foster creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking in students. Deadly! Luke had an excellent lesson with his tutor ,
He learned a good deal in the first session- Luke is very prepared for Chemistry and is very diligent I can see. He seems to be just stuck for Methods for the calculation questions and is looking for clarity and structure. Great student !Sheena's response :
