About Sedasi
I am a university student who graduated high school in 2023. During my junior years of high school I noticed that most teachers had a similar style of teaching that was suited to a particular type of mind. I was not one of these types of people as I quickly realised that I was falling behind trying to hold my attention on one person who talked for long periods of time. This is when I started thinking about how every child is different and has different needs as well as various styles of learning. However this is something that is often overlooked in group/ classroom settings as it is not practical to tailor a lesson to 25 different people at once. I learned that a friend and I work best by taking turns learning and explaining different parts of the content to each other. whereas some other students liked having visual examples and some proffered to listen to someone verbally deliver information. This is why I became passionate about tutoring as it allows me to pass on knowledge to students in a manner that is tailored to their individual needs and preferences.

My lessons are for year 11 and 12 Chemistry and/or Maths Advanced students. I structure my lessons by first gaining an understanding about what my students know already. Once I know the extent of their knowledge, I make a strategic plan of action with the student, tailored to their individual needs. I generally conduct 1 hour sessions to maximise learning and maintaining attention.
