About Taliesin

I am passionate about encouraging people in their art journeys and helping them realise how creative they truly are, even when the world may have told them otherwise. I have a patient, relaxed teaching style, and am a believer in the idea that everyone can be creative if they only have a chance. I also like to focus on the process of making art, instead of just the end result, as it can be an incredibly enjoyable and meditative pastime which has endless benefits for our lives. The natural world is endlessly inspiring, and I draw on that inspiration to help others explore the joys of drawing and sculpture, and increase their own skills and artistic confidence.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching focuses on meeting my students where they are, and striking a balance between constructive criticism and encouragement. I deliver the techniques and methods you need to advance your skills, without overloading you with information. I've been doing art all my life, and studied at the Hunter Street art school in Hobart for a year, but am mostly self-taught. This gives me a unique perspective on helping others to develop their own skills outside of a traditional institution. I now have a small business making and selling my art, as well as running workshops where I love sharing the joys of my chosen mediums with others. My lessons are taught in 2-4 hour blocks and I welcome all experience levels.
