About Sam
My name is Sam Short, I grew up in Santa Monica. I went to Syracuse University and received a B.S in Economics with Minors in Finance and History graduating Summa Cum Laude. I have an extensive mathematics background. As a high school senior I worked as a freelance tutor in elementary school and middle school math, as well as a volunteer tutor for elementary school students. I am available to tutor elementary and middle school students primarily in math but can assist in other areas of when needed.

My teaching style revolves around the student I am working with. I am strong believer that education must be tailored to the individual. This starts first with coordinating the session material with the either the parent or student. I like to know that I am showing up completely prepared and open communication before the session is the best way to make sure I know what the student would like to work on.
