About Lois
As a tenacious and collaborative individual, I believe that every child can enjoy education and be successful if they have the right tools. I love to teach because I give children who may not receive the support they need in school the chance to shine through my 1-1 support. Whether the student needs an extra boost, or is wildly ambitious and wants to reach top grades, I aim to ensure all children have the facilities to reach their goals. Teaching enables me to bring joy to children’s learning and build a positive attitude that they can bring into both school and 1-1 lessons. With a chance to build their confidence, I ensure all my students show not only academic progress, but build an ability to communicate and collaborate, key skills needed for life.

I offer both 30 minute and 1 hour lessons for students aged 4-18. In the first lesson I aim to understand my students ability and needs to I can provide them with unique lessons to fit their learning style and personality. I love to use whiteboards to annotate and draw, whether that be annotating exam papers or using pictures to improve phonics. I encourage my students to show their work on the whiteboard to help build confidence and so they can receive positive feedback from myself. I am an experienced tutor with 3 years of tutoring experience: both high achieving students, and pupils with SEN needs and learning difficulties. I have 10 GCSEs all grade A**-A, and 4 A levels grades A*-A, including English Language and Literature. My passion for education is reflected in my lessons, as I always plan stylish and creative lessons to help my students reach their full potential. My effervescence and determination shines through my teaching, and I work diligently to ensure feedback is given regularly to both students and parents.
