About REGIS
I am a dedicated mechanical engineering major with a passion for contributing to the energy and manufacturing sectors. My journey in the manufacturing industry began during the summer of 2023 when I had the invaluable opportunity to intern with Kimberly Clark. This experience provided me with hands-on insights into the intricacies of manufacturing processes, fostering my understanding of industry practices. Currently, I am actively engaged in a project with WIC Oklahoma, where I am tasked with developing a new product that not only aligns with their manufacturing requirements but also caters to both their existing and potential markets. This undertaking has honed my skills in navigating the dynamic landscape of manufacturing, equipping me with the versatility needed in this sector. Simultaneously, my enthusiasm for the energy sector is fueled by ongoing research at the OU Energy Sustainability Laboratory under the mentorship of Dr. Kazempoor. My focus spans Sustainable Energy Technologies, Greenhouse Gas Management, Carbon Capture, and Utilization, as well as Energy Storage and Electrochemical Energy Systems, encompassing fuel cells and batteries. This research has deepened my understanding of sustainable practices and the pivotal role of technology in shaping the future of energy. As I eagerly await my upcoming internship as a project engineer with Zeeco this summer, I am driven by the prospect of further expanding my knowledge and hands-on experience in both the energy and manufacturing sectors. My goal is to contribute meaningfully to innovative projects that address the challenges and opportunities at the intersection of mechanical engineering, energy, and manufacturing.
