About Sarah
I have been teaching physics for more than 25 years primarily to high school students, but on the side, helping design hands-on demonstrations for conceptual learners as well as elementary and middle school students. The lab book we have used for the past 25 years was developed in-house and written to cover both honors and AP physics labs, using everyday materials such as Slinky toys, matchbox cars, water-balloon launchers, baseball bats, nerf guns, clothes pins and aluminum foil. Simple flashlight bulbs, connecting wires and D-cell batteries can be used to design basic circuits. Since Covid, I have found Zoom is almost as good as in-person for hands on learning!

We can explore the worlds of mechanics, kinematics, dynamics, fluid motion, heat and kinetic theory. Or we can explore static charges. electricity and magnetism or electromagnetic radiation.
