A good way to learn Greek is to build solid foundations before moving on to conversation.

• Master the alphabet first: its 24 letters include familiar symbols like π and Σ from maths.
• Work on pronunciation: letters like γ, δ and θ have sounds that English speakers need to practise.
• Take grammar step by step: learn the present tense and common cases before the past forms.
• Use Greek every day: label objects at home, read short texts and chat with native speakers.

One-to-one lessons let you focus on your weak points and progress at your own pace.

• Verb conjugation requires practice because each tense and person has its own ending.
• Spoken Greek is quite regular, and the accent mark tells you which syllable to stress.
• Familiar word roots such as "tele", "phone" and "logos" help you guess the meaning of new terms.

One-to-one lessons turn grammar rules into practical, everyday phrases you can use straight away.
