Find a music production tutor in Westport

Every finished track goes through the same five fundamentals, whatever the genre.

• Arrangement organises your ideas into sections so the track builds tension and keeps the listener hooked.
• Sound design covers choosing and sculpting sounds, from a punchy kick drum to an evolving synth pad.
• Recording: capturing vocals and instruments cleanly with the right microphone and gain levels.
• The mix is where you balance each track so the bass, drums and vocals never fight for space.
• Mastering adds the last touch of EQ and limiting before release on Spotify or SoundCloud.

A private tutor shows you how these stages connect and gives honest feedback on your own tracks.

• Learn basic music theory, such as scales, chord progressions and time signatures, to write stronger ideas.
• Compare your work with reference tracks to train your ears and spot what is missing.
