About Jade

Hi, my name is Jade and I'm currently in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the University of Sydney. In the 2024 March sitting, I scored 98 in Section 3 and 84 overall, placing me in the 100th percentile. I have been tutoring since high school and have a passion for helping students succeed.

I have a pretty unique way of doing things. Over time, I’ve helped multiple students who had plateaued after 4+ sittings start making real progress again. Many come to me after trying other tutors and tell me that my approach finally “clicks” for them. I have also worked with many first-time sitters, so whether you’re stuck and need a breakthrough or just starting and want to build a solid foundation, I tailor my approach to your situation.

I see myself as both a tutor and a kind of mentor. Beyond teaching content and reasoning, I’ll help you develop a personalised study plan that fits your learning style and schedule. Sometimes, the hardest part of GAMSAT prep is just knowing what you should be doing. I’m always available for general GAMSAT advice or even life questions, because success often depends as much on mindset and motivation as it does on knowledge.

With only two months of focused study, I was able to prioritise foundational concepts and achieve a top score in my first sitting. Despite having a strong background in biology and some chemistry from my bachelor’s degree, I had no prior knowledge of physics before preparing for the GAMSAT, which is a common struggle for many biomedical students. This demonstrates that with the right strategies and dedication, you can excel too! The new GAMSAT format emphasises key concepts and reasoning skills rather than rote memorisation, making it achievable even with a limited time to prepare.

About the lesson

To maximise your learning, my sessions will concentrate on reasoning skills, exam techniques, and providing high-yield materials for self-study. However, if you prefer content-focused sessions, I am happy to accommodate that as well.

I trust my students to be self-motivated and capable of independent study. I provide comprehensive resources and expect them to study outside of our sessions. This approach allows us to focus on honing your skills and addressing specific challenges during our time together.

My students are welcome to reach out with questions or concerns between sessions, and I aim to respond within 24 hours. This helps ensure you stay on track and never feel uncertain about your progress.

I offer free introductory sessions to set goals, develop a personalised strategy tailored to your needs, and ensure compatibility.
