About Shivedh

I am a TEFL-certified English tutor with a 120-hour TEFL qualification and a strong academic and professional background. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree and an Honours degree in Economics, and I am currently furthering my studies in Accounting.

My interest in teaching grew from my own experience as a lifelong learner and from developing educational material for English learners. I enjoy taking concepts that may initially seem difficult and explaining them in a practical, patient and approachable way.

I also have a strong interest in writing and regularly work on creative writing projects, including novel writing, outlining, drafting and editing. This has strengthened my appreciation for language, communication and the different ways people express ideas.

I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My role is to guide, encourage and help students develop the confidence to use what they learn independently.

Whether you want to improve your everyday English, conversational ability, reading and writing, or workplace communication, I aim to provide a supportive and practical learning environment.

About the lesson

My English lessons are patient, practical and tailored to each learner’s individual goals. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students can practise English, ask questions and build confidence without being afraid of making mistakes.

Lessons can focus on conversational English, speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading and listening comprehension, writing, everyday English and practical communication. I can also assist with Business English and workplace communication where appropriate.

Students are encouraged to share their goals, preferred topic or areas of difficulty before the lesson. This allows me to prepare beforehand and make our lesson time more focused and useful.

A typical lesson may include guided conversation, explanations, vocabulary development, reading or listening activities and practical exercises depending on the learner’s needs and level.

Lessons are taught in English and are suitable for learners who want to develop their practical English communication skills for everyday life, study or work.

My aim is not simply to correct mistakes, but to help learners understand, practise and gradually become more confident using English independently.
