About Cameron
I’m Cameron. I’ve just recently graduated from the University of Brighton in—you guessed it—Brighton, where I’ve been living for the past three years. I love reading and writing obviously, but I also have a passion for fashion, politics, and weightlifting. I am a safe space for any student of any background or identity and I’m a huge mental health advocate.
I love working directly with people, except I’ve been limited to doing so at Morrisons until now and I’m excited by the opportunity to work 1-1 with students and make a difference to their academic lives. I especially want to work with teenagers because I know how hard being a teenager is. I don’t think that because it’s more difficult to work with them that they should be abandoned. I’d love the chance to help guide the youth towards success.

I want to empower students with my teaching, giving them the skills to build their confidence, comprehension, and critical thinking. I’ll do this with empathy and tact to avoid discouraging them, because so much of it is a mindset.
I’ll use active recall tasks that are most effective for memory retention, giving feedback and opportunities to show improvement over time.
I’m very passionate about English and the importance of language and literature in society and history, and I wish to show young learners a reason to care about their studies beyond the grade.
Because I’m a graduate, my own memory is fresh and I remember being at school. I hope this will allow me to connect with students and that I can inspire them to enjoy the studying process as well as succeed academically.
