About Grace
Hi, I'm Grace! I'm a creative and friendly 21-year-old student passionate about learning, literature, and helping students build their confidence. With a background in youth work and a Level 2 Youth Work qualification, I enjoy sharing my knowledge to support students through various challenges, whether it’s adjusting to Year 7, navigating Year 9, or managing exam stress.
I believe that novels and poetry can deepen our understanding of the world and the past, and I hope to impart this love of literature to my students. Having benefited from supportive teachers myself, I recognize the importance of encouragement in a new school environment. I’ve been tutoring for over 3 years, helping students gain admission to their dream universities and, most importantly, develop self-confidence in their learning—something I truly value!

My lessons start by exploring different learning styles to discover how each student learns best. From Year 7, I blend creative activities with exam-style questions, making lessons engaging and relevant. I often discuss characterisation through students' favourite books or have them write about sports or music to develop essential English skills. Familiar with various GCSE and A-level courses, I deliver content with enthusiasm, creatively sharing knowledge and building student confidence at the same time. Ultimately I am interested in students developing an interest and confidence in their learning to gain skills that will be helpful in many experiences to come. My teaching methods are wholly adaptable to all ages and can be moulded to meet a range of educational needs. Please just get in touch if you have any questions! : )
