About Ayanna

I’m a half-French native speaker with a multicultural background, having grown up in Southeast Asia. That mix of cultures and languages shaped how I communicate and how naturally I connect with students who learn in different ways. I’m now a third-year neuroscience student studying between University College Dublin and the University of Colorado Boulder, which gives me a strong understanding of how people learn, process information, and build long-term skills. I started tutoring French at 15 as a peer tutor in secondary school, and those early experiences taught me how to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. That combination of native-level French, international experience, and a scientific approach to learning makes me a patient, intuitive, and effective teacher.

About the lesson

I am a half‑French native speaker offering clear, confidence‑building French lessons for students in secondary school. My teaching combines structured grammar explanations with practical speaking, listening, and writing practice, helping learners build real fluency. Having tutored French since I was 15 as a peer tutor, I bring years of experience supporting students of different abilities and helping them feel comfortable using the language. Lessons are available in 30‑ or 60‑minute formats and are tailored to each learner’s pace, whether they need help with foundational skills, oral‑exam preparation, or steady support throughout the school year. My approach is patient, encouraging, and rooted in native‑level understanding, creating an environment where students can progress with clarity and confidence.
