About Hamza

I am a fourth year medical student at the University of Leicester. I have prior experience in preparing students for the 11+ as well as GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry. Having done the 11+ myself, I am well aware of the demands required for it as well as the requirements of doing well at GCSE.

About the lesson

Before starting with each student, I get all the relevant specification materials and ask them which topics they find easy/hard. I have a list I check with my students.

I base my lessons on the topics which they need to focus on. If they have any homework they need help with, I am happy to check that too.

In the lesson, I go through sample questions and tips on how to answer the question, and I give students past paper questions.

By the end of 4 lessons, I like students to have a "cheat sheets" which is a really good for revision resource I like to make for each topic they study so students can use this for revision, or they can make their own.

I am very adaptable in my teaching and more than happy to adapt this to how the student learns best. I believe practise is key to passing exams and I am to get students to practise exam style questions.

My son was failing his a level before Hamza began tutoring him. We have found Hamza to be a knowledgeable, patient and professional tutor. He identified weak areas , revised them with my son and then moved forward with the syllabus so that my son is now actually ahead of his class at school. We couldn’t have asked for a better teacher to complement and supplement his work at school. During this very demanding year of Covid he has been a light in a very depressing tunnel. From failing in January , with just two lessons and week , my son has progressed to a grade A . We are really appreciative and thankful and want to recommend him wholeheartedly over other tutors on superprof ! Have not one negative or critical thing to say . He’s great !

Hamza is one of the most patient tutors I've ever met! I really struggled to understand my GCSE Bio work and he took his time to explain all the parts I struggled with. He also took me through a list of topics and I got to pick what I wanted to study. and the things I already knew, he got questions for me to refresh my knowledge! He takes his time to explain properly, sharing his own experiences and most of all, listening so carefully to everything I have to say. He gives brilliant advice for future career options too and websites I can go to see where I can go with the grades I'll get.
