About Yannai
This year I was awarded first chair tenor of California’s All-State jazz band. I played with a sax section full of America’s best talent. Last year I was accepted into California’s All-State concert band. I also run a jazz combo which performs at concerts and events. Within school, I am the first tenor in both the jazz and symphonic band and help teach newer saxophone players how to play their parts and become better musicians.

I strive to shape whole musicians in my teaching. Emphasis is placed on the development of proper sound technique that will serve students throughout their musical journey. Sight reading is another consistent aspect of lessons that allows students to approach new repertoire independently and with confidence.
With regard to more experienced players, I incorporate aspects of music theory and improvisation in an effort to impart knowledge of this art form while assisting students in finding their unique voice through it.
My aim is to help beginner saxophonists get on their feet for a lower price than what many professionals charge.
