About Jamie
I am originally from Inverness-shire in Scotland. I have studied Latin at school since the age of 10, and Classical Greek since the age of 12. At GCSE & A Level, I obtained an A* in both, and then studied Literae Humaniores (Classics) for four years at St. John’s College, Oxford, graduating with a degree in the first class. Among my main interests are Ancient and Mediaeval Philosophy, and I completed the equivalent of a European style Masters in Philosophy in Rome. I then studied a Graduate Diploma in Law in London. I am now studying a DPhil in (Philosophical) Theology at Oriel College, Oxford.

I can adapt myself to the skills and speed of different people, as well as their preferred method of learning. Some may prefer to spend more time going through grammatical rules logically and systematically; others may prefer to learn while translating and engaging with passages and texts.
