About Rory

Introduction:
I help producers go from having ideas to finishing complete professional tracks in Ableton Live. Not only do I show you the practical side, I also focus on inspiration and what excites you, so you can create something you truly love.

If you’ve started before but felt stuck, overwhelmed, frustrated or unsure how to actually finish your song, I’ll guide you through a clear, structured process so you can build confidence and finish your music. I help electronic music producers improve arrangement, workflow, melodies, layering, and track structure inside Ableton Live.

My sessions are designed specifically for EDM producers who struggle with:

unfinished tracks

weak arrangements

repetitive sections

lack of direction

messy project files

creative block

I have over 8 years of production experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Production & DJ Practice.

Sessions are practical and project-focused.
You will work directly on your own tracks during lessons.

Topics include:

arrangement

transitions

melodies

layering

drops

workflow optimization

sound selection

finishing tracks

live performance workflows

launchpad integration

Lessons are online via Zoom.

What makes my lessons different:
Most lessons focus on tools and theory. I focus on helping you actually create and complete music straight from your mind and heart.

We’ll work step-by-step so you always know what you’re doing and why, no confusion, no wasted time.

What you’ll learn:

How to use Ableton Live without feeling overwhelmed.
How to build beats, melodies, and ideas from scratch.
How to arrange your music into a full track.
The basics of mixing so your track sounds clean and complete.
How to develop your own creative style.
How to search for inspiration, be excited and proud to create.

My teaching approach
I keep lessons relaxed, supportive, and focused on real progress.

I adapt to your level and goals, whether you’re completely new or already started but stuck.

Structured Programme (recommended)
I offer a simple lesson programme designed to help you:

This gives you a clear path and helps you stay motivated.

You can do this, you just need the right support and system.

About the lesson

My approach is relaxed, practical, and focused on helping you actually enjoy making GOOD music in Ableton. I know how overwhelming it can feel getting stuck on a track, so I aim to make things simple and clear, to finish your track with a professional sound, rather than overcomplicated.

I have 10 years of experience producing electronic music and using Ableton Live, including creating and releasing my own tracks. I am a Graduate with a Bachelor's Degree from Point Blank Music School in London. I am a qualified Level 5 teacher. My skills are honed and I know what it takes to create great professional music that creates deep feelings and energy. I also have a huge passion for helping people.

I usually teach by working directly inside Ableton with you. We can gain inspiration, build ideas together, fix parts of your track, or go through specific areas you’re struggling with like melodies, chords, structure, or sound selection.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes.

My lessons are best suited for beginners to intermediate creators who need guidance, support, and a clearer direction with their music.
