About Pablo

I am a pianist, keyboardist, and composer born in Alicante, specializing in integrating electronic elements into jazz and modern music. I have collaborated with artists such as Mike Casey and learned from jazz greats like Larry Goldings, Chris Cheek, and Nicholas Semrad (Snarky Puppy). I graduated in jazz piano performance from the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory in Valencia and recently completed my Master's degree in Jazz Performance at Codarts Rotterdam (Netherlands), where I explored the integration of synthesizers into jazz trio formations. I have been learning piano since the age of four, pursuing in-depth classical music training until I was 16, when I became interested in jazz and enrolled in the Valencia Conservatory the following year. During my higher education, I studied with prominent figures on the Spanish scene, such as Jesús Santandreu and Voro García. There, I formed the group Screaming Pillows with young Valencian musicians, with whom we won the Carles Santos Award for Best Jazz Album in 2022. Alongside piano, I learned to use Logic Pro around the age of 12, and a little later, Ableton Live. With the latter, I've learned to produce my own tracks and grasp concepts of sound design and production. Eventually, I caught the attention of New York saxophonist Mike Casey, who asked me to collaborate, resulting in the single "Breathe In," which reached 1.5 million streams on Spotify and ranked among the top jazz tracks of November and December 2021 on that platform. I currently work as a keyboardist and pianist for several emerging artists, such as the Portuguese producer Pedro Ricardo, with whom we toured Europe last year, and Martina Sabariego, a contemporary composer from Valencia, for whom I recorded keyboards on her debut album and with whom we are currently presenting her album in various venues around Valencia.

About the lesson

Hi! I'm a professional keyboardist, producer, and pianist with over 10 years of experience. If you're interested in synthesizers, production, jazz, or piano (or all of the above), I offer private lessons for the upcoming academic year. Regarding synthesis, we can work with hardware or software synthesizers. I can teach you how to create your first sounds, or if you're interested in learning at a more advanced level, I can introduce you to the world of modular synthesis with VCV Rack. If you're more interested in integrating electronics into your music, I can teach you how to use Ableton Live for both producing and performing your tracks live. I can teach you production techniques such as sampling, sequencing, looping, and many other fascinating concepts within this program. It's important to have the program installed or downloaded. I also offer lessons in jazz or modern piano, theory, and/or composition. If you're interested in preparing for advanced exams, or simply want to learn more about music theory, we can work around your needs. I offer both online and in-person lessons, which would be held at my studio in Beniarbeig, Alicante.
